I had a blog post planned and written for yesterday, but I didn’t get to post it. By the time I had gotten the little ones from school, we needed to get ready for nap time. So that means potty, wash their hands, wash their faces, sort out which kid gets which snuggle toy. Then it’s story time and good nights. Then suddenly it was time to go and pick up the girls
For naptime we read The Book With No Pictures. They love it. We got it Monday and we have read it almost every day. Then saying goodnight, and trying to leave takes forever, because some children stall bedtime with drinks, and fits, but mine use affection. “I want one more hug…” and Shouting “Love You!!!” and “I need a hug!”
So after a bit, they were both finally sleeping, I finally got started editing the pictures I took for the post. Before I had finished, it was time to wake up the kids, and pick up the big girls. I had even let them sleep in as they had stayed up a bit later. When I hear “Johnnie, my pants are wet.”
So that means I had get her cleaned up but we also had to leave and get the big girls. So I quickly washed her up, I washed her hair too, since she needed to be cleaned up anyway now her parents don’t have to worry about it. So we left with out brushing her hair, thinking I have a brush in the car, we can take care of it at school. Only I didn’t have the hair brush. Luckily I was able to use my fingers to comb through her hair, which was surprisingly easy. The rest of the afternoon went by fine, got the big girls, fed them snack, played, then said goodbye.
After that I went on to more babysitting, picked my friends son up from his daycare, took him to t-ball practice, then back to his house for dinner and bed time. By the time I finally got home, my nephew had come over. And I was super tired I fell asleep with out taking off my makeup. Let me just say, thanks to Nyx setting spay it was all still in place.
Today I fear is going to be just as chaotic. As little miss has decided that she doesn’t need a nap. Which she is usually incorrect about. But I did manage to get this little bit typed up, while listening to her playing about in her bed. I will say that even though they stalled nap time, and played a bit when they were meant to be asleep. They have been super well behaved this week. Thankfully we have more good days, then stressful/difficult days.
