I don’t really know what to say about this week. Most of it’s been good. A little not as good. Most of it has been pretty normal.
Sharon started school this week. I feel like it’s been three weeks of first days of school. The programs Sharon’s in doesn’t provide transportation, which is why I’ve always driven the kids to school. Except this year her teacher asked that she be switched to the P.M. class instead. They’ve got mostly 3 year olds in the am class and 4 year olds in the pm, that way her teacher can adapt the program for their ages. So Ashley takes taylor to school on her way to work in the morning so I don’t have to the school three times a day. although am classes were easier in the way that the preschool starts 15 minutes after the rest of the kids. While now she gets out a half hour before the rest of the kids, I get to wait at the school with one or two toddlers as well. I am so thankful that they are very well behaved, and that I have a stroller. But it’s worth it, I mean if they start to get too bored then we can wait outside or in the car. I’m going to need to put some toys in my car for that…
Our cheerleader-head lice issue had finally gotten taken care of. 4 out of 8 of our girls ended up with it. I have been soaking my hair in tea-tree oil, so I’ve been clear. I’m constantly checking my hair to be sure. But I hate the way one of the coaches have been reacting about it. She wasn’t allowed to cheer at the game a week from Saturday, and was told that she couldn’t come back to practice for the week. She was given no compassion at all, like I get that no one wants it. That it’s a pain to clear up, but the girl is 8. All of our girls are 7-11 years old, and this coach sees her, says “g-dammit” surrounded by the girls, looks in her hair and not very gently guides her off to her dad. The girls mom came to their next practice saying that she’s been treated, and there is nothing left alive in her hair, (she still had knits all over) and that the other girls are picking on, and avoiding her daughter. Ok well if your child’s, being bullied for lice, it’s not because her coaches won’t let her cheer, but because you won’t get the knits out. (is it nits, or knits? I’m not sure on the spelling.) I sat there and went through half of her hair picking them out, I had ash bring me her RobiComb to kill and remove what ever was in her hair. We canceled practice for the next day. They checked her for Saturdays games, and she was all clear. Thankfully, my scalp is not liking all of the tea-tree oil I’ve been putting in my hair.
Do you remember the kitten that hung out on my porch all Friday last week? Well he must have gotten out again, as I was sent a link to a fb post from the local animal Hospital, to warn me to be extra careful of my cats. There were two boys caught beating a kitten and spraying cologne in his eyes, that lived around me. I looked at the picture and realized it was the same kitten. My friend, who Sharon named cupcake, found his way into the hands of two boys, approximately 5&8 years old. My heart broke that day, for a kitten that wasn’t even mine, and for the little brats that can do such an awful thing. He is being kept at the animal hospital while the police investigate, he heals, and they find the actual owners. There have been a few people claiming him. I was going to… Then to make things worse people (adults) were saying aweful things in the comments like “they need their heads pounded into the sidewalk” and “someone should spray cologne in their eyes”. Really, these kids don’t need abuse. They need discipline, a doctor, and probably some affection. I do think that they (and their parents) should be held responsible for their actions. But he is doing better. Saturday morning, the pressure behind his eyes had gone down and there were no signs of neurological damage.
I kills me, because he was the sweetest, friendliest cat I’d ever met. How could anyone hurt such a sweet animal. I take comfort in the fact that my cats don’t go outside, and if they were to manage to get out, they aren’t friendly enough to let strange kids near them.
Saturday, was a mess. I woke up when I was meant to have left for the game that day. Then I dropped my keys in my sisters car, didn’t realize it until after she had left the parking lot. Then the Paul Bunion festival, which is like a wood carving show, mixed with community event, mixed with a fair. I didn’t go on any rides this time, and loaded my self up with sugar, but my anxiety still got the best of me, It always does. After that we had signed up for an Alzheimer charity trivia night. Our team was My mom, Sister, her boyfriend, his Parents and me. We took 5 out of 20 teams, the Michigan category killed us.
Between the large amount of people at the fair, and at the trivia night, was just too much. As today, I have slept all day. I woke up for church, showered, did my makeup and ended up back asleep. Until between 2 and 3. I have not been able to focus on anything what so ever. Even writing this now, I’ve been working on it for like 6 hours. It’s not like my life is so exciting it takes hours to sort through on what I want to share. But I’ve done loads of online shopping… Well I didn’t actually buy anything, so I guess it’s been tons of online browsing… I’m too impatient to wait for shipping. I bought some things from feelunique.com and since I’m in America, and they’re in the U.K. I have to wait like 3 weeks for it to come in. It’s killing me.. I’ve been stalking the tracking part just hoping it’ll get here early.
But I just realized that I need more milk for the kids tomorrow, and it’s 10pm. So I have to go find an open store to buy some… Before I do, I am curious, do you guys like these lifestyle like posts? Should I keep updating you each week, or do you not care? Also what kinds of posts would you like to see?

Hi guys, I’m here with another #beautiesonfire post. This week the theme that was voted for is Retro. Actually it had tied with last weeks “back to school” look, so this week we took on the retro look
This look was inspired by the 80’s. Now I know I should have done up my hair nice and big too, but I mean, I’ve only got 2 hours of nap time, so I didn’t have time to do up my hair and then undo it. I mean if you really want me to try and do my hair up real big let me know maybe I’ll try it and put it up on Instagram. For this retro 80’s look I thought bright colors would be best. (ok so maybe I only picked this for the opportunity to experiment with bright eye shadow colors) Here is a break down of products I used and the order I used them.
- Maybelline Face studio Master Primer blur and redness control.
- L.A Colors White Jumbo eye pencil.- I started with this as a base and blended out the edges with a Beau Gâchis Paris – Smudge Brush. Using a white base helps to make the bright colors pop.
- Three color Eye Shadow– I have this in Yellow, Pink, and Blue. I started with the blue on the outer corner of my eye with a Coastal Scents Medum Shadow brush . Then I patted the yellow on the inner corner of my eye with a Beau Gâchis Paris – Eye Shadow Brush. Using the same brush I patted the pink on the center.
- Rimmel Lasting Finish foundation
- Rimmel London Kate Sculpting Palette–
- Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous conlealer in light– I used this in a shade lighter then my foundation to brighten up under my eyes then blend it with a Real Techniques Setting Brush.
- Pixel Concealer– This one is the same shade as my foundation, to cover blemishes. I use a MODA Complexion brush to blend it in
- Pixel Party Proff Liquid liner-to carefully line my upper lash line.
- Rimmel London Lasting finish by Kate Moss,Lipstick- I used the color 28
- Maybeline Lash Sensational Mascara- This is definitely my favorite mascara.
As I said earlier this is part of the beauties on fire collab. I am having such a great time reading every one else’s posts and you should too just click the image below to be taken to the original post and link up.

It’s Ipsy time! I got mine a few days ago and I am loving it.
Too Faced Lip Injection Extreme- First thing this works, great. I’d used a plumping lip gloss before, I had forgotten how weird it felt. It’s like a burning tingly feeling. Its not particularly painful, just kind of uncomfortable, and only for a minute or two. If you’re looking to get fuller lips, it’s totally worth it.
Rodial Dragon’s Blood Hyaluronic Tonic– I’m not sure how I feel about this. I don’t really use a toner. It does, however work great as a makeup setting spray.
Coastal Scents Elite Bamboo Collection Medium Shadow Brush- I LOVE makeup brushes. So this was an amazing thing to fine in my ipsy bag. This brush is great for patting in loose powder, or for the crease and even under your eyes for a smoky eye look.
TreStiQue Highlight Stick– I can’t figure how to blend this properly… So I’ve been using it as an eye shadow base.
Living Proof Perfect Hair Day– I think I’ve fallen in love with this. Mostly the smell. My hair is pretty low maintenance, so I don’t use a lot of hair products. I do like to use a styling crème to keep my hair from being frizzy. This makes my hair feel so soft, and smooth. Plus it has the added bonus of smelling so good.
This month’s bag is so cool. I love it. It will never not be my favorite time of the month. So if you are interested in signing up for ipsy you can do it Here.

This week, last week? It’s been a bit chaotic this past week. It always is with a busy toddler. I have also had to make sure to be outside for the bus on time. which I hadn’t had to do in so long. We make it with an exception of Monday. For the rest of the week I had made sure that we were out side 15-20 minutes early. The bus garage still never called me back to confirm what time the bus is meant to come, so that’s annoying. However after Monday we make it to the bus just fine.
Nothing real exciting happened this week. But Friday when we were waiting for the bus we met a kitten. He was so friendly, he came right up so naturally I cuddled him a bit. If you fllow me on Instagram my whole story was all about him. He managed to get inside twice. Once when we went inside, which I quickly put him back out, I tried giving him food so that we can make it in with out him (it didn’t work). The second time, was with a parent. I opened the door and he is brought in. They thought it was one of my cats, he looked like he could have been mine with the way he was meowing at the door. If he had been a girl cat, or if Maizy couldn’t have kittens I would have brought him inside and kept him for ever. He managed to find us from at the back door and stayed out there all day. He was plotting a home invasion. He did find his way home though, someone caught him in a live trap and put him on fb and his owners were found. Lesson of the day, don’t cuddle a stray cat… J/K cuddle all of the cats.
Then our school was having a “spirit hall” dedication and they invited the 5/6 grade team to play football during halftime of the varsity game, so our girls got to cheer. They were so excited to cheer at a crowded game, with all of their friends there. They definitely weren’t used to having the band playing too as they struggled to hear each other setting the cheers and what cheer they were doing, but they got it figured out and did an amazing job. They even got to cheer with the varsity girls.
Saturday the 5/6 grade had a game, I am so proud of how well they did. The girls were even able to stunt. Which they love. After the game we went out to Panera Bread for lunch, and did a little bit of shopping. Very little we went to Sam’s Club, I need to start getting snacks from there so that I can have tons stocked up and not have to worry about them. Then to Meijer. I had gotten jeans from there not that long ago, and I was going to get more. I never don’t wear jeans much they just don’t seem to fit right and since I spend my days at home with toddlers it’s just easier to wear yoga pants. Too bad I didn’t find anything except the one that I already have. So no new jeans for me 🙁
Sunday was the game for the 3&4 grade. I ended up the first half of the game coaching alone, as Ash had gone out of town that day. And the Other coach was waiting for and talking to one of our girl’s dad. While I was fixing her hair I found knits in her hair. There were no bugs, but still I’ve been paranoid ever since. So when I got home I washed my hair with tea-tree oil, then put a hair mask in my hair and loaded it with tea-tree oil. Tea-tree oil is good for preventing head lice. So after school I get Taylor from school I need to stop and get some hairspray, the spray kind and I am going to add some tee-tree oil in that too. To keep it out of Tay’s hair. Luckily if Taylor does get exposed we’ve got an electric bug zapping come that will kill it all.
Well nap times over, so it’s time to go… How have you guys been? Anything new or exciting?
