New Year, New Post.

Hey guys,
I can’t believe 2017 is over. I feel like it’s gone by so fast. Right now is such a good time for reflection, so many great things have happened.
This year started with my second nephew being born. There is no better way to start a year then with a new nephew.
Our family vacation. Over Easter weekend my mom sisters band their families all went to the Wisconsin dells. We had so much fun between the water/theme park, and the little shop like things.
I try to spend most of my summer at the beach. For the last week of summer my family and my brother-in-laws’ families went camping. Which I weirdly enjoy despite how far out side of my comfort zone it puts me. Battery operated lights are the best camping accessory ever.
The fall brings Cheerleading. I coached the 3-6 grade level for football with three other great ladies. Then I went on to coach 7/8th grade for basketball with Ashley. I love cheerleading, for one it gets me out of the house.
For my third blogaversery I launched my YouTube channel.  That’s been a lot of fun, and you should definitely check it out and subscribe.
Thanksgiving all three (mine and both of my sisters in laws) spent the holiday together.
My third nephew was born (the second of this year). We weren’t able to be there for his birth but he is the sweetest
Over all it’s been a fantastic year. I hope you have all had an amazing year as well and that the next year is even better.

A Purr-fect Halloween Look

Hey guys!

Last week I posted a video on Youtube creating a witchy Halloween makeup look. This week I am going to stick to quick and easy Halloween theme.  Last year, I had 4 different opportunities to dress up for Halloween, I was a Witch when we did the witches run, a carebear for the Halloween scavenger hunt, a vampire when we went out to the bar, and I was a cow for trick-or-treating ngl a cow onsie was the warmest I’ve ever been trick-or-treating.  This year I don’t get as many dress up opportunities, I miseed the witches run because I was babysitting, and I missed the scavenger hunt this weekend because we are going to Cedar Point and a Safari zoo thing.
I wasn’t sure what I wanted to dress up as for this year, until I saw the coolest thing ever. Light up Cat Ears!! Yes I am 5 and I planned my costume based on cat ears that light up.
Cat Halloween. Costume
For this look I started by mixing some Hard Candy mix-in pigment drops into my formula. 10.0.6 seriously shine free moisturizer, a no blended it in.  Then I applied some of Benefit Shy Beam highlighter to brighten up under my eyes. For, bronzer, Blush and highlight I used Rimmel Londons Kate sculpting palette in coral glow.

For my eyes I used Too Faced Christmas in New York palette, I blended ___  in my crease and Coconut over the rest of my lid.  Then using a color pop angeled brush and a Kiss gel liner I attempted a cat like wing, and lined my water line with pixel-pro liner in “angelic” just to open my eyes a bit more. Once that was finished I applied some of Maybelline the falsies push up Angel mascara. Next I took pixels pro-liner to draw on the rest of the cat face.

Once that was finished I added some light up cat ears and was all finished with  my cat Halloween makeup look.  I loved doing this look because it was super quick, and super easy.  What is your favorite Halloween look.

I hope you enjoyed this post and if you was to see how this look was created then you can watch the video that’s right below (give it a thumbs up and subscribe).

A “Be-witching” Halloween look.

Hey guys!

So Halloween is right around the corner, and Halloween parties are coming up.  Which means you might be needing a last minute Halloween costume. One of the easiest things to do is a Witch.  All you need is a black dress, hat, and some makeup.  So if you scroll down then you will see that I have made a video creating this look. if you want to see if, or just don’t want to read.

For this look I started by adding a couple drops from Hard Candy Glamoflauge Mix-In Pigment Make up Drops to my Formula 10.0.6 Seriously Shine-Free Moisturizers and applied that all over. Then I used NYX Highlight & Contour Pro Palette for high light and contouring. After that I took “Lucky Clover” from my Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit – Moon Child for a witchy green highlight. Then using a Broadway powder cheek palette kit I can’t find it online, but I got it from Dollar General
For my eyes I started with L.A. Colors Jumbo Pencil and blended it through my crease. Then I took the green from Pixel Pro Duo Shadow in “Feisty” all over my lid. Then I went back to my Moon Child highlight and applied “Lucky Clover” to my inner corner and to highlight my brow bone. Then I lined my upper lash line with Starlooks Pro Luxe Pen and my lower lash line with I Pixel Pro Eye Liner in “Majestic”. Then I curled my Lashes and coated them in Some of Smashbox X-Rated Mascara

On my lips I used the black Jumbo Pencil as lipstick. Obviously if you have black lipstick that would be better, but I don’t so this works just fine.  Then I went back to my Moonchild palette and added some “lucky clover” over the lipstick for an emerald-green matte lip color.

I have recently started to make videos to better show how I create these looks. I am actually really enjoying filming and putting together videos, just because it’s something new If you would rather not just read about it then I would love for you to watch the video and subscribe to my YouTube channel.

Let me know in the comments what you think about this… also what are you going to dress up as for Halloween???

Christmas break

Hey guys, I hope you all had a great new year, and a great holiday week.  Because of it being Christmas vacation I haven’t had to work all week, not really.  Sharon still came over, but one of my kids’ mom is a teacher, so she’s been home with him, and my other two were at their dad’s last week.  So it’s just been Sharon and I.  Taylor came over one day, then she was with Ashley, or her cousins.

I was really glad to have just one-on-one time with Sharon.  We played, colored, read stories, and cuddled up to watch movies.  We didn’t do anything real exciting but just hanging out with her is nice.. I’ve been babysitting her since she was 7 months old, and I love that I get to watch her grow up.  She amazes me with how smart she is.  Despite it just being Sharon, and she’d been super well behaved (it’s hard to be naughty when there’s no one to bicker with) we still decided she was going to take a nap.  It was a mutual decision, when I asked her if she was taking a nap she agreed and went straight to sleep.  She doesn’t take naps everyday anymore because she goes to school in the afternoon, and can’t 3/5 days a week.  She does still take them on Mondays and Fridays.

On Christmas day, I started watching Glee again.  How many times can you watch a TV series before it becomes a problem?  I do love that show, and it’s great for background noise as I’ve seen it enough times to know that story lines to the episodes, and can mostly just listen to the music on the show.

Another thing I’ve managed to do this week was finally get all of my blog posts done and up.  As I’ve said I had been struggling to see a point in blogging because “no one cares”, but I finally got out of that.  Well I’m not completely over that, but I can work around the feeling.  I’m still not overly confident that I’m not just annoying everyone.

Some ways I moved past it…

I quit checking my blog stats every day.  My page views were staying the same.  They’re a bit lower than last month and the month before but I think that’s just because I wasn’t posting very much…

Posh “PJs All Day” body butter. I got a tub of this for Christmas from Sharon and her parents. It’s got lavender oil in it, which lavender oil is great for calming anxiety attacks.  I haven’t been sleeping real well lately, and it’s been because I lost my lavender oil but never went out to go get a new bottle.  When I started using this at night, it helps fall asleep better.  Which gave me more energy to focus when I am sat at the computer trying to write.

It was an easy breezy quiet week with just Sharon.

I decided that I wanted to keep up with my blog.  I’m not writing for anyone but me, and while I appreciate you taking you time out of the day and reading it, ultimately I’m doing it for myself.  So when ever I hit [ctrl]+[a] and delete because no one cares I reminded my self that I did, and I would start again. and again and again…

It’s going to take time to fully get back into it, but will.  It’s fine, I’ll be fine… I am fine.  Anxiety is fun isn’t it.

So since I am going to be more consistent, and I do want you to read and enjoy my blog. Please tell me in the comments what you want me to write about, and I’ll do my best.  Even if it’s not specific topics I just want to know what you think… do you like my chatty updates, or do they ramble too much… Should I do more makeup looks? Do you want to know more about my anxiety and how I cope.  Or do you want an obnoxiously long photo essay on my cats… (if you really want that then you can head over to my Instagram.  It’s full of them)

A Christmas update

I hope everyone had a great Christmas. I did, it was stressful, and wonderful.  I love Christmas, not for presents because I never know what to ask for, and I hate asking for things. But I’ll tell you my sisters know just what to get me.  Some of the best things, mousse style glitter lotion (I’ll talk about that on Wednesday) Some Skittles, and a mermaid tail blanket.  I think my most favorite is the #1 Aunt key chain.

We headed down to my uncles house for Christmas with our whole family. This year we decided to stop at Bronners, which is a giant Christmas store, with all of the ornaments you could ever want for your Christmas tree, or just about anything you could want for decorating house.  It’s a special little Christmas wonderland.  However with it being so amazing and great for Christmas, lots of people want to go.  That store was so crowded.  We weren’t in there for very long, but all of the stress and chaos drained any and all energy out of me.  The rest of the evening was alright.  I had a great time, my uncle again told me that I need to print off song lyrics to a bunch of Christmas songs so we could all do a sing along next year.  I had a Christmas before Christmas planned and started but never finished like I wanted  but I couldn’t finish it because my uncle does not have wifi.  Luckily I grew up in a pre-wifi time and was fine with out it.  I mean it would be nice if he had it but I’m not completely lost with out it.  But I did lose my bracelet, which isn’t a real big deal since it was just a glow-in-the-dark rubber band, but I’m supper bummed.  It’s been on my wrist for nearly three years, the fact that it glows is nice since I’m a big baby and afraid of the dark.

Saturday, Christmas Eve we had to leave super early so we could get Taylor to her dads 3.5 hours away by 10.  This year he got her for Christmas eve and Ash got her Christmas day. Then Christmas Eve was spent Calm and quiet at home wrapping all of the presents my mom bought.  Which lead to me questioning my moms affections for me.  I’d probably asked my mom about 10 times why she hated me.   I don’t know why stores don’t just package everything in nice little boxes.  Now I know that I could buy boxes to pack things in but hat would take planning ahead, and remembering how annoying it is to wrap  spoon. or anything in the shape of a circle.

Sunday morning, we celebrated Christmas with just us (my mom, sisters, the boys, and the kids) That was fun, but when I got home, I found out that my sisters dog, who was left while she went to her husband’s Aunts’s downstate was very determined to keep me out of the house.  I walked in the house to a very antsy dog wanting to go out, so with out thinking I put him on his leash and take him out front. Then I couldn’t get him in the house, he kept trying to get me to take him down the street but when I told him no and tried to get him inside he just laid down on the sidewalk. He’s a big Siberian Husky so he’s pretty big, and can handle staying out side.  When I finally get him inside I realized why he didn’t want me inside.  Now we tried to “Kylo proof” the house, turned on the TV put anything he might chew on up, locked my cats in my room (before you worry the cats were left alone) and put the air conditioner in front of the refrigerator (because he knows how to open it to steal our food).  Well, as it turns out, he can also move the air conditioner.  He stole our left over chili, and all of the cheese.  I had a bit of mess to clean up, but since it wasn’t too much of a mess, and not my dog I found it more funny than annoying…

I wasn’t planning on going back out that day, I was going just going to lay on the couch, and just be alone for the evening, but then my mom called and I ended up going back to my sisters house where her boyfriend’s parents were coming over too.  So I ended up going back over there. This time I took Kylo with me.  Which he doesn’t exactly get along with Ashley’s dogs, but they were going to be in the back room away from us anyway.  So I just kept Kylo on his leash next to me. It was a good, fun night.  Stressful and my anxiety has been over the top, but it’s been fun.  Despite how hard and stressful holidays are it’s totally worth it.  And to be fair, any family get together is always nearly too much to handle, but seeing my family, that I love and miss makes it ok.

Now I’m going to get off here, because I need to take Kylo and meet Tiffany to drop of Kylo while she’s on her way home.  I hope every one has had a fun and safe holiday.
