Hey guys Valentines day is coming up, and my valentines day plans include movies while cuddled up with my cats (yes, I am that lame). I thought about doing a valentines makeup look, but I kind of feel like every other beauty […]

So apparently this week the weather just can’t get it together. Monday it decided to be winter and snow, a lot, enough to get school canceled. Then the weather decided it wanted to be spring like so it warmed up and I think it rained through out the day and afternoon, but by night it decided, it’ll be winter, so temperatures dropped and everything froze, meaning no school again. That day even Sharon stayed home in the morning, but taylor came over, but I ended up driving her over to her friends. It warmed up again, and every thing melted, then it all froze so no school Thursday. They did have school Friday. So that was a normal day.
I did take advantage of having no where to go and having both the girls all day, I did an extra post. I had them do my makeup and I interviewed them. We had fun, they had fun. It was nice having the few extra days with taylor, I did miss jake, his mom is a teacher so he didn’t come over.
Friday I had a sleep over with taylor. We did typical slumber party stuff. Ate Ice cream, watched The Wizard of Oz. Her favorite thing that we did that night was face masks. She’s got sensitive skin, so I had her use a skin calming mask, from formula 10.0.6 we had a great night.
The Saturday Taylor had a swim meet, she did amazing. Me not so well. So like the bleachers to watch are in an upstairs floor and then its open , so like a balcony. My fear of heights are so bad that I don’t even look out my bedroom window. Then being on a balcony, half way up the bleachers I couldn’t breathe. It was not fun, I hate swim meets. But she loves swimming so I’ll suffer through more.
It helps that I keep in my purse a bag full of skittles. I do have a problem when it comes to buying candy. One time Ashley was complaining about me leaving candy in her car, and I didn’t think I’d left any. But there was a packet of gummy worms that I don’t even remember buying. They weren’t taylors because Ash doesn’t like her eating gummy candy and wouldn’t have got them for her. I have candy stashed in my purse, my car, my bed room, even a drawer full of it. I don’t eat as much as I buy, but I do like to keeep it on hand. It does seem to help, a tiny it during a panic attack.
Does any one know, does sugar help anxiety? It might just be me. I do know that when my anxiety starts to get out of hand that I’m instantly drained of energy and I do know that sugar helps that. Well a little burst of energy. But, I can’t handle sugar well. I get super hyper even with just a small amount, like half of a can of coke and I’m bouncing off the walls. And its the sugar not the caffeine. Coke zero doesn’t do it but sprite does.

I’ve said it before, I am very fussy with my hair. Not that it looks amazing all of the time, or even ever. Last week I talked about how much I hate static. But, do you what’s worse then static, having wet hair. Wet hair is so much worst because it’s all year round. Every day. Weather its just washing it, or if you go to the beach, or a pool. Now I know, it’s not hard to blow dry your hair, but that’s so time consuming. Then if it’s summer it’s too hot to blow dry. When I let it air dry, it curls a bit in a weird way, and it just looks like a frizzy mess. As much as I hate having wet hair I never wake up and give my self enough time to dry my hair, and do my makeup before I start working.
While I was at Kmart the other day I was looking for detangleing spray, They didn’t have any. What they did have was In a Heart Beat Blow Dry Accelerator. Its a spray meant to speed up blow drying.! It will aslo detangle and soften, help to eliminate frizz, improve humidity resistance and provide thermal protection to the hair. It sounds amazing right?
I honestly didn’t think that it would really work, but I still bought it for the thermal protection. I timed how long it took me to blow dry my hair while using this product, it was 5 minutes. Normally I take about 10. Which is amazing in it’s self, and half way through I had to switch to the low power setting, since Sharon couldn’t hear the ipad she listens to music while I finished getting ready. Not only did it cut my blow drying time in half, but my hair looks and feels healthier as well. Seriously this makes my mornings so much easier since I’m not spending for ever to dry my hair. It’s also one less thing to stress me out, and make me cranky. Yes I am that shallow that wet, frizzy, and staticky hair makes me cranky.
I am really loving Not Your Mother’s brand right now, I use their leave in conditioner spray on Sharon’s hair. That and my Tangle Teezer are a dynamic duo that no amount of tangles can take on. They are a good and affordable brand. They don’t test on animals, and are cruelty free. I trust this brand, and will definitely keep buying their products. I actually can’t wait to try more.
Have you ever tied anything from this brand, did you like it?
Also if you know anyone who takes too long to blow dry their hair send them this link. They might like Not Your Mothers In a Heart Beat Blow Dry Accelorator too.

Bath and body works has been America’s favorite for about 20 years now, and it’s very easy to see why. Their lotions, and other fragrances are amazing. I could spend hours in the store just smelling all of the products. They have scents for everyone. For Christmas my sister gave me a body cream, Shimmer Fizz and lip Gloss. All in the Scent Twisted Peppermint
They all smell like a mix of peppermint, raspberry, jasmine, candy floss, mint ,and musk. It’s basically a very sweet candy cane like smell, which makes it perfect for this time of year.
The Body Cream is made with Shea butter for moisturizing, Aloe for soothing, and Cocoa butter for pampering. Simply put some on your hands then massage it into your skin. It’s a body cream so it’s thicker then lotion, but it absorbs right in and doesn’t leave a greasy feeling behind. This body cream leaves you skin soft, hydrated, smelling amazing.
Lip gloss. It’s everything I love in a lip gloss. Glossy, glittery, and tastes ok too. Because it is peppermint it does have a cool minty feeling on your lips, Sharon said it was really cold feeling. It’s a little sticky, but it’s super glossy so it’s expected.
Shimmer Fizz body lotion. This is the weirdest but coolest thing ever. First of all you should know that glitter is my favorite color. This leaves a subtle layer of glitter behind. It absorbs in and doesn’t leave you feeling greasy while it moisturizes your skin. The coolest thing about this is that it fizzes. like when put it on your hand and then close your hands you can feel it fizzing, and popping. Taylor compared it to pop rocks, but in your hands. It comes out like a foam, so you just put spray some on your hand and smooth into your skin. I couldn’t find this on the website so I don’t know much about it, but it is infused with vitamins A&E to leave your skin silky soft
I love bath and body works, it’s the best store to go to for great smelling lotions, and candles. And their pocket bacs are the best thing ever, so convenient. I love how these products smell, and how amazing they make my skin feel. I definitely recommend this brand to any one looking for lotions.

For years I’ve tried to make the ornaments, and every time they turn out terrible. They end up too thick and cracked, I’m probably doing it wrong but I try and fail every year. So this year I found a new way to make them using just a few items.
For this you will need:
- 1/2 Cup Cornstarch
- 3/4 Cup Water
- 1 Cup Baking soda
A Sauce pan, plate, and wet paper towel are helpful too. And things to decorate as well; we used markers, pipe cleaners, eyes, and pom poms (the ones we could keep from Maizy)
So what you do first is you mix the Cornstarch, Water and, Baking Soda together in the sauce pan on medium heat. After a few minutes until the consistency resembles Mashed Potatoes. After that spread the mixture on the plate, and cover with a damp cloths (I just used a wet napkin) and let it cool. It shouldn’t take long.
Once it was cooled off a bit, you’ll need to kneed the dough until it becomes more like sugar cookie dough. Then roll it out and using cookie cutters mine were Christmas themed and cut shapes into the dough. I then took a tiny straw to puncture holes to tie the ribbons on, and let them dry. I sat them out for the night to fully dry. I had noticed the edges curling up a bit so I started turning them over every few hours.
The next day they were dry smooth, and look wonderful. they were smooth, flat, they looked just the way I’ve always wanted. So all that was left was decorating. Because it is smooth, I had the kids color with markers, instead of painting them. So on to the fun part of it all. I pulled out some beeds, and markers and let the kid make them pretty. Tie a ribbon, a pipe cleaner or any hook like thing and hang it on your tree.
These are GREAT for making with kids. Mine loved it. They had so much fun, and it gives their parents a home made tree decoration. I know I love having hand made ornaments on my tree. Tbh I just love home made anything. ( I accidently sent the snowflakes home before I got pictures)
You can make a reindeer if you tip a gingerbread man upside down.
Also These are breakable. As you can see by the scared face of the one on the top right corner. So if you have little ones coming around and you want something creative to do with them then you should try this. Just remember that they do need over night to dry.
I hope you all have a Merry Christmas! and have a lovely and safe holiday.
