Many of you may know that I’ve been using Cover Girl’s Ready Set Gorgeous Concealer for a while now. And I’ve been loving it! So when I was looking for a new foundation to try, I chose the Ready Set Gorgeous Foundation too, and in the end the powder foundation as well.
I Love finding a brand that’s both affordable and has good quality. I find that Cover Girl is one of them. I’ve been using Cover Girl for as long as I can remember. My mom used to wear it too, and 12 year old me might have raided her makeup stash when I first started wearing makeup. I’ve also been loving the Katy Kat Matte collection too, but we can talk about that another time.
To start with this foundation is amazing. It says it has medium coverage, but I find it quite buildable. This oil free foundation, has a built-in powder system to fight against shine, while pulling oil and sweat away from your face. The best thing about this foundation, is that it blends right into my skin, rather than some that feel like they need a ton of powder and still feel a bit wet. It’s definitely high on my list of favorites.
I bought the concealer in a lighter shade than the foundation for under my eyes, it’s a great way to brighten them up. This oil free concealer is amazing. Typically I only put this under my eyes but I’m pale enough that I have used it to cover up blemishes, it easily covered up any imperfections that I had.
I literally only bought the powder so I could just write this post and have the whole line. I thought it was a just a setting powder, but it’s actually a powder foundation. Which makes it Great for on-the-go. Not that long ago I had a really bad break out. I’m pretty sure it was from the Halloween white face paint/makeup stuff. So when we were out and about, and I was already uptight enough, I didn’t need to be worrying about what my skin looked like this was a lifesaver. I just threw it in my bag with my concealer and setting brush. That way I was able to touch up my concealer when I needed to, and then I used this powder to blend the newly applied concealer. I also love how well this works to just blend everything together to give a more natural look.
I’m not going to lie, I totally bought these because of the super cute, and simple packaging. Honestly I’m such easy target with this kind of stuff, just make it pink, and maybe add some glitter and I’m sold! Have you tried any of these? What is something about a products packaging that would make you buy it?
