Hi guys. For this weeks look I thought I would go with something very soft, and very subtle. Not quite a “no-makeup” look but I guess it’s quite simple, and completely matte. For the first time in I don’t know how long I didn’t use […]

Hey guys. It’s time for another Beauties on fire collab. I’ve been kind of slacking on these lately. I feel like it’s just been so busy. I am the kind of person who likes to just stay home all of the time. I work in my home, and I like my weekends to be in my house as well. I wouldn’t mind never leaving my house. I mean my cats are there so… But for the past few weeks, it’s been go go go… But I did manage to join in, and I loved this weeks theme. I went with a light eyes, and dark lip kind of look.
For this look I started with Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous foundation in the lightest shade I could find because I am that pale and a Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. Then I took Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous conlealer in light Under my Eyes, and blended it with a Real Techniques Setting Brush. Then I used Tanya Burr Cosmetics Rosy Flush Cheek palette for contour blush and highlight. Then for my eyebrows using a Real Techniques Brow brush and Tanya Burr Cosmetic’s Perfect Brow Palette.
Then I moved on to my eyes, stating with Maybelline Expert Wear Eye shadow Champagne Fizz, all over the lid of my eye, with an Eye shadow brush from beau Gachis. Then I took the dark brown from my Energy Noir Clay palette and with a Small Elite Shadow brush from Coastal Scents, and patted it through my crease. Then with a Beau Gachis Smudge Brush I blended it all in together. I used a thin angled brush and E.L.F. Cream eyeliner. to line my eyes. Then I finished my eyes with Maybelline Falsies Push Up Angel Mascara.
Then on my lips I used Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate Moss in the color 30. For a nice dark purple to contrast the light eyeshadow.
I’m not going to lie, I was quite impressed how this turned out. I loved this look, so much. As I said before this post is a part of the beautiesonfire collab which you can get the whole link up here…

October, while it’s loads of fun, it’s also been super stressful. Not in a way that a ton of bad things have happened, actually it’s been mostly good things. I just struggle with super busy weekends, and it’s been stressing me out. So I’m kind of glad it’s over. I have found a few items that I just keep reaching for.
Tanya Burr Cosmetics- I’m just going to lump my three things together. At the end of last month I had made a purchase on Feelunique.com they came in earlier this month. I had ordered the Rosy Cheek Palette, Perfect Brows Kit, and Rhubarb and Custard Matte lip color. These products are amazing, the Rosy Cheek Palette is amazing for contouring. Especially if you’re not entirely sure on what you’re doing, they’re pigmented enough to give you a naturally sculpted look, but not so pigmented that if you don’t do it properly that you won’t be able to blend it well. I’ve just started filling in my brows, but the pencils gave me too much of a drawn on look, so I bought this. I imagine it works as well as any other, I use them for a matte brown eye shadow. Because the products were 3for2 I also got a matte liquid lipstick too. I love it, it’s definitely my favorite of the three things that I got. It’s a gorgeous bright pink matte lip color, and it lasts for hours too. Sharon loves it too, When ever I wear it she points out that I’m wearing the “tiny bear” lipstick, or she’ll ask if she can have some on too.
Maybelline The Falsies Push up Angel Mascara. I love this. It makes my lashes look longer, fuller and thicker. It just looks amazing, way more dramatic with out looking over the top.
Perfectly Posh Big Fat Yummy Hand Cream. At this time of the year my hands get so dry. My hands are always cold, I will use any excuse to wash them and hold them under the hot water. So hand cream is a need. These creams smell amazing. I have “The ‘it’ Girl” which smells like Grapefruit, apricot, and lily. And “Yes We Candy” which is candy apple scented. What I love about this brand is that they use all natural ingredients.
Katy Kat Matte Lipstick by Cover girl. I’d been searching for a replacement for my Meet Matt(e) Liquid lipstick in the color committed, and it was a near perfect match. The only difference is that this is less dry but the color is exact. Another difference is the katy kat one is costs ten dollars less. so I mean it’s so much better. I’ve been wearing this pretty much every day since I got it. Maybe half and half with my Tanya burr one.
So I hope you’ve all had a great Halloween, and month. Have you used any of these products? What did you think about them?
Maizy is so helpful when it comes to blog photos…

I had realized that I have quite a few of products that I have to have. So I thought, I should tell someone, maybe they’ll like these products. And I do, I do think that you will all like these products.
The first thing I am going to talk about is Shampoo and Conditioner. A while back I was struggling with oily hair. I tried so hard to come up with a way to fight that. I’m just going to put this out there, baking soda is not a good alternative to shampoo. What it did was dry out my hair and gave it the consistency of straw. I was constantly trying to brush my hair and it still being tangled up. I had finally bought OGX Keratin Oil, It was amazing! In one wash my hair had transformed, it was back to the soft texture it was before. Then by the end of the day I had noticed that my hair still looked clean. So I had gotten my oily hair under control. My hair had been quite high maintenance, I was brushing some more, blow drying, brushing, straightening, brushing again, and coating it in product. Now after I’d been using this shampoo, my hair is so low maintenance, I do still blow dry my hair, but I don’t straighten my hair anymore, I only use product if I don’t dry it, and more often then not my hair brush is MIA so I comb through it with my fingers..
The next is Cleansers from Formula 10.0.6. Every one should know how important it is to wash your face. Since my skin is super fussy, I can only use natural products on it which get expensive. A few months ago I received a face mask in my ipsy bag. I nervously tried it out, and loved it. So I got a face wash and cleansing wipes, my skin really appreciates it. I do use them for moisturizer, and masks as well. With just lovely and affordable products why not use them all.
I don’t know how I got managed to apply makeup before I started using brushes. I mean I know how I did, fingers, and those sponge applicators you get in eye shadow palettes. Now I don’t think I would know what to do with Real Techniques Makeup Brushes. They have seriously have made such a difference in how, and where my makeup is applied. I’ve developed quite the obsession with brushes in general, and I keep going back to Real Techniques, as being the best.
Nude Matte Lipsticks. That has become my go to lip color. Currently my favorite is Cover Girls Katy Kat Matte Lipstick in the color Catoure. It’s not a super dry matte lipstick, so it doesn’t dry out your lips at all. Also it’s a great doupe for The Balms Meet Matt(e) lip color in Comitted. Which was my goal as mine from the balm had run out, I needed a replacement one. Preferably one that doesn’t cost $17. This one is $7.99. Saving $9 is an amazing thing. The color is the same, but the balm is a liquid and dries super matte while cover girl’s is like a semi matte. I love it though.
We all have our beauty staples. The products that we just can’t live with out. Weather is a go to makeup look, Favorite accessory, skincare need. Tell me what your number one beauty staple.

I’ve recently fallen in love with very subtle makeup. That has inspired me to post a “No makeup, makeup look” I’ve actually got two, one with basically no makeup, and another more done up that just looks like very little makeup.
For this look I put on Pixel Concealer to cover any blemishes. Then blended it with a Moda Complexion brush. Then Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous conlealer in a lighter shade, to brighten up my eyes (and to avoid the “are you dyeing?” questions). After that I put Ofra Universal Eyebrow Pencil to line my upper and lower lash line (but not on the water line) and smudged it a tiny bit with my finger. Then I used Pixel Triple Boost Mascara to give my lashes a more fuller look while still keeping a natural look. Then I finished it up with Katy Kat Matte Lipstick in the color catoure.
Another option for a “no makeup” look but a little more done up. I started with Rimmel London Lasting finish foundation. Then I used a matte peachy color from my Jesse’s Girl 9 pan shadow dream girl compact all over my eyelid. Then I lined my eyes with a black pencil eyeliner just on the water line, and I smudged a tiny bit on the bottom lash line. Then I applied some Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous conlealer in a lighter shade than my foundation to brighten up under my eyes. On my cheeks, I used Tanya Burrs Rosy Flush Cheek Palette for a subtle contour and highlight, and light blush. I also filled in my eyebrows using her Perfect Brow palette. Then I used Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder to blend it all together. I stuck with Pixel Triple Boost Mascara for full yet natural looking lashes. I finished the look with Tanya Burr Soft Luxe Lip gloss in Rhubarb and Custard.
The best thing about a “no Makeup” look is that you are spotlighting your natural beauty. As much as I love a real done up glamorous look, there’s something so lovely about a more subtle, and more natural look. I’ve been really loving these looks so much lately. Plus it saves so much time in the mornings as it doesn’t take as much effort, but it still looks like I put in plenty of effort into it.
