Hey guys. So if you remember last week I had said about going to the store to get shampoo/conditioner. I bought a brand called Live Clean. I had never heard of them before and the cashier said that they just got it […]

This past weekend was Sharons birthday party, and I had forgot to order her present online. Which is really annoying because I had it planned three months ago. Any way I went to Walmart to get her a present, and like I said last week I am awful and wondering off in a store. I mean I’m pretty easy to find just check the makeup section. While I was wondering around some new makeup brushes caught my eye.
If you’ve ever looked through the beauty tag on Instagram you’ll see that most of the beauty gurus are using oval brushes, instead of the traditional ones, and I’ve been dying to try them. The problem is they’re really expensive. However Royal and Langnickle have created some and they’re actually affordable. I have a couple of their other brushes and I really like them, so I trusted them to not be poor quality.
Moda Prismatic Face Perfecting brushes are amazing. First off, they’re so pretty. I love the blue and purple together. Not only are they pretty, but they are so soft, they felt so nice on my skin. They’re dense too, that way they don’t absorb makeup in to the brush. These work best with creams, or liquids. They blended my makeup, flawlessly and didn’t leave any kind of brush strokes behind. Because, I’ll admit occasionally my foundation gets a bit streaky and no one wants that.
Over all I really like these brushes. But they are kind of difficult to clean, because of the shape even if the makeup didn’t absorb all of the way to the center of the bushes. Also I don’t suggest using them with powder. I did, and I really felt like it didn’t blend well, or at all. Also using when using the foundation (the large brush) I didn’t like how it felt a bit… um… bendy (not really sure how else to explain it) Like i was afraid that it would break.
I definitely think you should give these a try. Especially if you’re anything like me, and are as impressionable as a toddler. And have been seeing all of the other beauty instagram accounts using similar brushes. And you just want to fit in (with the instagram beauty community… not in general)
Have you tried these brushes? what did you think about them?

Bath and body works has been America’s favorite for about 20 years now, and it’s very easy to see why. Their lotions, and other fragrances are amazing. I could spend hours in the store just smelling all of the products. They have scents for everyone. For Christmas my sister gave me a body cream, Shimmer Fizz and lip Gloss. All in the Scent Twisted Peppermint
They all smell like a mix of peppermint, raspberry, jasmine, candy floss, mint ,and musk. It’s basically a very sweet candy cane like smell, which makes it perfect for this time of year.
The Body Cream is made with Shea butter for moisturizing, Aloe for soothing, and Cocoa butter for pampering. Simply put some on your hands then massage it into your skin. It’s a body cream so it’s thicker then lotion, but it absorbs right in and doesn’t leave a greasy feeling behind. This body cream leaves you skin soft, hydrated, smelling amazing.
Lip gloss. It’s everything I love in a lip gloss. Glossy, glittery, and tastes ok too. Because it is peppermint it does have a cool minty feeling on your lips, Sharon said it was really cold feeling. It’s a little sticky, but it’s super glossy so it’s expected.
Shimmer Fizz body lotion. This is the weirdest but coolest thing ever. First of all you should know that glitter is my favorite color. This leaves a subtle layer of glitter behind. It absorbs in and doesn’t leave you feeling greasy while it moisturizes your skin. The coolest thing about this is that it fizzes. like when put it on your hand and then close your hands you can feel it fizzing, and popping. Taylor compared it to pop rocks, but in your hands. It comes out like a foam, so you just put spray some on your hand and smooth into your skin. I couldn’t find this on the website so I don’t know much about it, but it is infused with vitamins A&E to leave your skin silky soft
I love bath and body works, it’s the best store to go to for great smelling lotions, and candles. And their pocket bacs are the best thing ever, so convenient. I love how these products smell, and how amazing they make my skin feel. I definitely recommend this brand to any one looking for lotions.

I’m kind of late for with this months ipsy post. oops but I hadn’t forgotten about it. It’s still my favorite part of the month, and this months bag did not disappoint.
Ciate London Liquid Velvet Lip slick in the color Diva. This is a matte red lip stick. It’s rare for me to find a red lipstick that I actually think looks nice. I don’t normally (ever) wear red lipstick, they’re always just too much for me. However this color is the perfect amount of red for me. Also while this is a matte lipstick is not drying at all. Over all I am happy with this product.
Formula x nail polish in the color hauntress. I love nail polish. This polish looks amazing, the color is a gorgeous green with flecks of gold. I liked this because it looks pretty when wearing this however it does kind of chip a bit, but over all held up well.
Ofra Banana highlighter This is a great product for setting under eye concealer. The yellow tone easily covers dark circles, with out looking like you have yellow eye shadow all over.
The Balm Mad Lash Mascara with a special curved brush this mascara gives you extra volume, and lift. It creates gorgeous thick dramatic lashes to finish off any look.
Bonvivant Botanical Pure Masks I am always so scared to try new skin care products. I did try this, and I didn’t break out. I can only use a few different skin care brands with out breaking out.
Also I am in love with this bag… I love the makeup constellations and the star zip.

Too Faced Lip Injection Extreme- First thing this works, great. I’d used a plumping lip gloss before, I had forgotten how weird it felt. It’s like a burning tingly feeling. Its not particularly painful, just kind of uncomfortable, and only for a minute or two. If you’re looking to get fuller lips, it’s totally worth it.
Rodial Dragon’s Blood Hyaluronic Tonic– I’m not sure how I feel about this. I don’t really use a toner. It does, however work great as a makeup setting spray.
Coastal Scents Elite Bamboo Collection Medium Shadow Brush- I LOVE makeup brushes. So this was an amazing thing to fine in my ipsy bag. This brush is great for patting in loose powder, or for the crease and even under your eyes for a smoky eye look.
TreStiQue Highlight Stick– I can’t figure how to blend this properly… So I’ve been using it as an eye shadow base.
Living Proof Perfect Hair Day– I think I’ve fallen in love with this. Mostly the smell. My hair is pretty low maintenance, so I don’t use a lot of hair products. I do like to use a styling crème to keep my hair from being frizzy. This makes my hair feel so soft, and smooth. Plus it has the added bonus of smelling so good.
This month’s bag is so cool. I love it. It will never not be my favorite time of the month. So if you are interested in signing up for ipsy you can do it Here.
